About solar.day
What is solar.day?
solar.day is an honest, AI-powered check for whether solar panels and a battery are right for your specific home. Three minutes, no login, no pitch. We look at your roof from Google's satellite data, ask you a few questions about how you live, and tell you straight, even if the answer is no.
From the book
solar.day is one of four consumer tools built for Green But Not Heard, a book that argues the energy transition is stalled by marketing, not technology. The book launches in September 2026.
What's coming
This is the start. The full launch in September adds:
- Real Google satellite analysis of your specific roof
- Solar Shadow, a continuous digital twin that emails you weekly with what your system would have generated and saved
- A check for people who've inherited solar in a house they bought
- A battery-only assessment with time-of-use tariff recommendations
- A critique tool for installer quotes
- An AI coach to walk you through the numbers
The project
solar.day is independent. We're not paid by installers, panel manufacturers, or energy companies. If the answer is no, we'll say so. If a battery alone is the smarter move, we'll point you there. No greenwash. No sales pitch. Just clarity.
If we can't convince you, that's on us, not you.
